Summary
Andrea Grasselli, better known as ATCG, joins from Milan to share how persistence and passion have shaped his career in electronic music. Starting with his unique artist name, derived from being born in 1989 at the close of the 80s, he emphasizes how identity plays a role in connecting with audiences. His path has been fueled by determination, from sending over a thousand demos to Patrick Topping before finally earning a release on Trick, to reimagining Tujamo’s hit Who into an Afro Latin remix that gained official recognition.
Andrea reflects on the realities of production, often creating hundreds of demos but selecting only a fraction for release. He highlights the importance of management teams like Origami, who have helped him align with the right labels at the right moments. His cover of Rihanna’s Don’t Stop the Music stands as a career milestone, reaching number one on BeatForce after initially being intended only as a VIP remix.
Balancing music with personal passions, Andrea speaks about late-night production sessions, staying grounded with football and motorcycling, and overcoming creative blocks by exploring other genres. He shares candid stories of hearing his music unexpectedly in restaurants, managing the highs and lows of festival performances, and decompressing from the adrenaline of live shows.
Andrea’s advice for upcoming artists is simple yet powerful: consistency outweighs raw talent. With residencies across Milan, Bergamo, and Cremona, and upcoming performances at ADE, he continues to carve out his place in the global tech house community while keeping his creative roots and Italian pride at the center of his journey.

Summary
Brayden and Zach, the creative duo behind Syence, joined Darran Bruce for an engaging conversation about their journey from college classmates to established artists in the electronic music scene. Meeting in a science class at Cal Poly, they bonded over shared influences ranging from Blink-182 to the rise of electronic pioneers like Zedd. This early connection evolved into a long-term creative partnership, with their official project taking shape around 2017.
Their sound is defined as euphoric melodic house, a genre they embrace for its uplifting and immersive qualities. Collaborations such as “Crashing Down” with MashBit highlight their chemistry and ability to create tracks that resonate both in clubs and on streaming platforms. They emphasized their hands-on approach to engineering and mastering, testing tracks across multiple environments to ensure the music connects universally.
Syence also discussed the challenges of shifting from their early “bass pop” style to melodic house, acknowledging the difficulties of rebranding while retaining fans. Their focus now lies heavily on cultivating authentic fan relationships rather than solely chasing industry validation. Both artists stressed the importance of balance and well-being, sharing personal experiences with diet, fitness, and even incorporating tools like ChatGPT to stay sharp.
Looking ahead, they are excited to embrace the intimacy of 200-300 capacity shows on their self-booked tours, finding fulfillment in closer fan interactions. With their Honor Roll merch line and grassroots approach, Syence continues to foster a loyal community while pursuing longevity in a fast-changing industry.

Summary
Nikki Camilleri joins from London to share her inspiring journey in the music industry, from her early beginnings in Malta to making her mark as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. Raised with a love for art but limited opportunities in creative industries, Nikki discovered her passion through the Young Enterprise competition, which propelled her to the UK and into a career that combined business acumen with music. Her story highlights the power of persistence, internships, and hands-on learning, which ultimately led her to roles at Warner Records and eventually to founding her own venture, Mana.
She explains how Mana began as small workshops in 2019 and evolved into a full-fledged company offering mentorship, A&R, and strategy services for independent artists. Nikki emphasizes that artists today cannot work alone – building a team and understanding business fundamentals are essential to longevity. She advocates for careful planning while remaining adaptable, likening an artist’s career to a constantly evolving startup.
A key part of Nikki’s philosophy revolves around the concept of super fans. She contrasts them with passive listeners, showing how dedicated supporters drive revenue through tickets, merch, and direct engagement. By focusing on relationship-building and capturing fan data, artists can create sustainability beyond fleeting social media trends. Nikki also touches on the importance of PR, distribution, and brand positioning as interconnected building blocks for artist growth.
Her outlook is practical yet optimistic: test ideas early, embrace creativity in marketing, and invest in long-term connections. With projects like TEDx event organizing and a focus on community-driven knowledge, Nikki continues to push boundaries while championing artists at every stage.

jvst breathe's Exclusive Mix on The DJ Sessions 9/23/25
Tuesday Sep 23, 2025
Tuesday Sep 23, 2025
About jvst breathe -
jvst breathe is a technologist turned artist whose path to the booth runs through a lifetime of music and a deep respect for tech. Long before club nights and late studio sessions, he spoke in melodies, building a foundation on classic instruments like trombone, trumpet, and violin. That early discipline trained an ear for tone, harmony, and dynamics. Hours of scales, ensemble rehearsals, and tiny breakthroughs built a quiet confidence that would later resurface on stage and in the studio. In high school and college, practical choices edged out creative ones, and jvst breathe stepped away from music to pursue computer science. The problem solving rush and elegance of a well written algorithm became his new canvas. Years of emotional turbulence in romantic partnerships and struggle with addiction in his adult life caused the spark to reignite, and jvst breathe once again found himself taken by the music. Toward the end of 2022, after a couple years of research and development in big tech, he realized that modern music production is not far from programming at all. It is systems thinking with sound, architecture expressed as arrangement, and algorithms disguised as grooves. Once that connection clicked, tools that used to feel opaque suddenly became expressive, and jvst breathe dove headfirst into his new passion.
Early 2023 brought a new obsession, DJing. What began as curiosity quickly became a craft, then a calling. Mixing gives structure to the producer’s imagination and an instant feedback loop with the people in the room. Every blend taught a lesson in energy, pacing, and restraint, and every set sharpened instincts that software could only hint at. By October 2023, after months of constant practice, jvst breathe played his first show at a small club in San Francisco, dropping his very first original track known as “Feel”. That milestone transformed private study into public promise, and friends into early supporters willing to stay until the lights came up.
Six months later, that promise demanded a leap. jvst breathe moved to Los Angeles, ready to dedicate the rest of his life to the music industry. He arrived with little more than a laptop, a car full of clothes and relentless ambition, taking on ninety hour weeks as an independent contractor to keep the lights on while chasing a sound of his own. His weeks were a perpetual cycle of coding and networking, battling insomnia and long periods of illness while still fighting to delegate time to music whenever possible. The grind was brutal and clarifying. It tested his resolve, sharpened his workflows, and proved that momentum lives in daily discipline long before a breakthrough ever arrives.
Today, jvst breathe works as a software engineer at a social media marketing company, translating day job tools directly into the artist’s toolkit. Content is not an afterthought; it is part of the instrument rack. The aim is to bridge product thinking with artistic intuition so releases and performances feel intentional, iterative, and alive. The result is EDM that aims for clarity and lift, built to move a floor and linger afterward.

Summary
Tavian, better known as Jvst Breathe, shares his journey from classical training and computer science into electronic music, revealing how his analytical background fuels creativity. Growing up playing trombone, trumpet, violin, and guitar, music always came naturally, though he paused during high school and college to focus on sports and studies. After graduating in computer science, he faced a crossroads between climbing the corporate ladder or pursuing passion. Choosing music, he discovered production as both a challenge and an outlet for self-expression.
He reflects on early struggles and breakthroughs, explaining how turbulent life experiences and relationships drove him to create. Music became a necessity, a way to translate emotion into sound. His artistic name Jvst Breathe symbolizes mindfulness, spirituality, and a reminder to pause amid chaos. Inspiration comes from adventures, emotions, and the energy of dance floors, with festivals and raves shaping his understanding of how sound can connect and move people.
Production-wise, Tavian primarily uses Ableton Live and Serum, focusing on software-based sound design while learning to reintroduce analog instruments. He openly discusses overcoming creative blocks by taking breaks or diving into new learning, a process that mirrors his engineering mindset. Influences range from Taiki Nulight to Eminem, with admiration for local peers like Joosh who inspire him through performance and creativity.
Looking ahead, Tavian teases new originals, remixes, and live mixes, including a Lil Wayne remix and exclusive sets recorded at beach events. With a focus on authenticity, growth, and community, Jvst Breathe is carving a unique path that blends technical skill, emotional honesty, and a vision for innovation in dance music.

About Jvst Breathe-
Jvst Breathe is a technologist turned artist whose path to the booth runs through a lifetime of music and a deep respect for code. Long before club nights and late studio sessions, they spoke in melodies, cutting their teeth on classic instruments like trombone, trumpet, and violin. That early discipline trained an ear for tone, harmony, and dynamics, a foundation that does not just teach notes but patience, listening, and intention. Hours of scales, ensemble rehearsals, and tiny breakthroughs built a quiet confidence that would later resurface on stage and in the studio.
In high school and college, practical choices edged out creative ones, and Jvst Breathe stepped away from music to pursue computer science. The problem solving rush and elegance of a well written function became a new canvas. Debuggers replaced practice rooms; compilers replaced metronomes. Yet the logic of music never let go. Pattern, repetition, and variation still mapped neatly onto how they thought. The spark reignited in 2022, when they realized that modern music production is not far from programming at all. It is systems thinking with sound, architecture expressed as arrangement, and algorithms disguised as grooves. Once that connection clicked, tools that used to feel opaque suddenly became expressive.
Early 2023 brought a new obsession, DJing. What began as curiosity quickly became a craft, then a calling. Mixing gave structure to the producer’s imagination and an instant feedback loop with the people in the room. Every blend taught a lesson in energy, pacing, and restraint, and every set sharpened instincts that software could only hint at. By October 2023, after months of relentless practice and tiny victories, Jvst Breathe played a first show in San Francisco. That milestone transformed private study into public promise, and friends into early supporters willing to stay until the lights came up. It also confirmed a simple truth: connection arrives when preparation meets presence, and the room always rewards honesty over perfection, every single time.
Six months later, that promise demanded a leap. Jvst Breathe moved to Los Angeles to pursue music in earnest, stepping into a city where dreams feel close and rent feels closer. They arrived with little more than a laptop, a hard drive, and stubborn belief, taking on ninety hour weeks as an independent contractor to keep the lights on while chasing a sound of their own. Mornings belonged to code, nights to clubs, and weekends to workflow experiments, crate digging, and set prep. The grind was brutal and clarifying. It tested resolve, sharpened workflows, and proved that momentum lives in daily discipline before it ever shows up as a breakthrough.
Today, Jvst Breathe works as a software engineer at a social media marketing company, translating day job tools directly into the artist’s toolkit. Content is not an afterthought; it is part of the instrument rack. They approach branding like a product roadmap, storytelling like a sprint, and audience building like user research. Short form edits, posting cadence, analytics, and automation all feed the creative engine, helping the music find ears without losing its heart. The aim is to bridge product thinking with artistic intuition so releases and performances feel intentional, iterative, and alive.
The sound emerging from this hybrid life carries the fingerprints of both disciplines. You can hear the brass section schooling in the way basslines breathe and lead converse. You can feel the coder’s patience in the architecture of builds and releases. Sets move with logic but never feel predictable, coursing through house and adjacent club textures with an emphasis on groove, momentum, and emotional release. In the studio, Jvst Breathe favors tactile experimentation, resampling, modulation, and iterative versioning that treats each session like a small product ship. The result is music that aims for clarity and lift, built to move a floor and linger afterward.
Community matters, too. The Bay Area debut created a circle of friends who still trade stems and ideas, while Los Angeles provides a high pressure, high inspiration environment that keeps the bar rising. Each room teaches something new, how to open gently, how to reset a dance floor, how to end with gratitude. Those lessons flow back into production and back out into sets, where narrative, tension, and relief become the language of connection. The name is a reminder to slow down, breathe, and serve the moment instead of the ego.
Looking ahead, Jvst Breathe is building deliberately, song by song, set by set, and system by system, knowing that longevity comes from process as much as from inspiration. The mission is simple and ambitious at once, to make records that feel inevitable and performances that feel personal, rooted in craft and delivered with care. Nothing is rushed; everything is iterated, tested with people, and refined until the intention is clear and the feeling is undeniable.
Follow along as the story accelerates. About Alejandro -
The White Collar Project didn’t begin on a stage. It began in silence.
After years of spinning vinyl in Caracas and later in London’s techno clubs, music had to take a backseat. Life moved on. Business took over. And eventually, music stopped altogether. What followed was a ten year disconnect that spiraled into something darker. A legal battle that couldn’t be spoken about. A crushing wave of depression that left him isolated, numb, and on the edge of suicide. No family nearby. No support system. No voice.
But in the quiet, there was still a crate of records. Still a pair of decks. And that was enough.
With no plan to perform or go public again, he began recording vinyl only sets at home. They weren’t meant to be seen. They were surviving. Unfiltered, emotional sessions that captured something real. No sync. No screens. No edits. Just flow, feeling, and a deep respect for the craft. When those videos quietly appeared on YouTube, something unexpected happened. People connected. Within months, the channel grew. Within a year, over 100000 subscribers. Off fewer than ten uploads.
The White Collar Project had become more than a creative outlet. It had become a movement.
Today, the project lives at the intersection of vinyl DJing, streetwear, and visual art. Musically, the sets span everything from house to techno, tribal rhythms, Latin grooves, Afro textures, and unexpected vocal layers. It is a sound shaped by decades of digging and a lifetime of emotion.
At its core, The White Collar Project is a DJ project built on emotion, depth, and thoughtful curation. It is about telling stories through vinyl, playing music that resonates, and creating a space where imperfection is part of the magic. It does not chase trends or follow formulas. It is for those who understand that the right record can speak louder than words. This is a DJ who plays not to impress, but to connect, and every set is a reflection of that purpose.

Summary
Alejandro, founder of the White Collar Project, joins from Surrey, UK to share his journey of transforming personal struggle into a thriving creative movement. Originally working in a different industry, Alejandro turned to vinyl DJing as an escape from depression during a legal battle. What started as therapy soon evolved into a project blending music, fashion, and art under one brand. His story highlights how resilience and creativity can redefine purpose and connection.
Alejandro describes his sound as a fusion of house, Detroit techno, and Latin rhythms, heavily influenced by salsa and his South American heritage. For him, vinyl is more than a medium—it’s a tactile, emotional, and imperfect art form that forces DJs to truly know their music. He contrasts this with modern digital tools, admiring new technology while advocating for authenticity and skill.
The conversation also dives into fashion as a vital expression of identity. Alejandro sees clothing and art as extensions of performance, shaping how audiences perceive and connect with the artist. This ethos underpins the White Collar Project’s merchandise, designed to merge minimalism with creativity.
Beyond music and fashion, Alejandro is candid about mental health, stressing the importance of openness and community. He emphasizes building safe spaces where people can disconnect from phones, focus on music, and share positive experiences. With his weekly White Collar Party livestream and plans for global expansion, Alejandro is committed to celebrating analog culture while embracing innovation.

Michael, better known as Textbook Maneuver, joins for an insightful conversation that explores how science, structure, and creativity intertwine in his musical journey. Growing up with a love for music but rooted in a professional career as a chemist, Michael shares how his analytical background influenced his approach to learning and producing. His artist name reflects this very methodical nature - diving into textbooks, experimenting, and developing a disciplined foundation before evolving into his current cinematic electronic sound.
He discusses his early piano lessons and the pivotal role of receiving a piano as a gift, which shaped his lifelong connection to music. Michael reflects on balancing influences from classical composers like Satie and Ravel with the raw energy of metal, punk, and progressive rock, which all feed into his eclectic style today. His EP Strike Joy and full-length album Adrenaline Slip mark milestones that not only capture his evolving sound but also symbolize his mission to create music that inspires positivity and introspection.
Throughout the interview, Michael highlights the challenges of standing out in a saturated digital landscape and the importance of trademarking and branding as an artist. He also shares his fascination with building unique sonic textures through software, synthesizers, and improvisation while acknowledging the perfectionist tendencies that sometimes slow creative flow. His vision for Life Science Records reflects his DIY ethic and a long-term goal to nurture other artists.
Michael’s story is one of curiosity, persistence, and innovation - blending scientific discipline with artistic exploration to forge a unique identity in electronic music.

About Textbook Maneuver -
Emerging electronic project Textbook Maneuver has unveiled a mesmerizing track and video, ‘Nocturnal Musings’, released on his Life Science Records, LLC imprint. With nearly 130,000 streams across platforms to date, the project has steadily drawn the attention of the global IDM and experimental electronic community.
Interviews with Magnetic Magazine, Illustrate Magazine, features on WWAM (We WriteAbout Music), Music For All (Brazil), and Good Music Radar have already highlighted the project’s immersive debut album Adrenaline Slip (2025). It is clear that Textbook Maneuver is emerging as one of experimental electronic music’s most intriguing new figures.
Michael Keane is the Bronx-born, New Jersey-based composer behind the Textbook Maneuver alias. A classically trained pianist with a punk DIY heart, Keane blends cerebral sound design with cinematic storytelling, drawing from a wide palette of influences that stretch from Genesis (Duke era), Rush, and Gary Numan to The Postal Service, U.N.K.L.E., and Phantogram. Under the Textbook Maneuver moniker, his releases balance the intellectual curiosity of IDM with the emotional resonance of ambient and prog-influenced electronica, offering soundscapes fit for film, television, and interactive media.
His music thrives on improvisation and sonic experimentation, refusing easy classification while remaining deeply accessible. With critics comparing his sound to Jon Hopkins and Nils Frahm, listeners are sure to hear echoes of Boards of Canada, μ-Ziq, and Squarepusher.
‘Nocturnal Musings’ is an off-kilter glitched-out dreamscape, unfolding with restless beats that shape-shift beneath jagged synth stabs, blinking beeps, and spectral textures, evoking the drift of a mind caught between realities. The accompanying video, all caught on a trail camera set up outside the artist’s studio, shows eerie black and white footage of animals meandering in the snow in the dead of night.
Textbook Maneuver shared:
“I spent much of my time composing for the Strike Joy EP in a fully screened porch at night, during the height of cricket and frog activity, focusing on loops and sound design. Elements of the rhythms and tones from nature helped inspire ‘Nocturnal Musings’. The video for the song is from footage I captured on the trail camera set up outside the studio, sticking with the night hours synced up with the song. It was a fun creative experience."
“A spaced-out odyssey of an album, leaning heavily into the ambient & leftfield side of electronic music.”
Magnetic Magazine
“Textbook Maneuver creates music that takes listeners on an atmospheric journey.”
Illustrate Magazine
“No words required here. It’s all emotive sound, frequencies, and there’s plenty of it to entertain, energize,
and even hypnotize.”Good Music Radar

Finding Universality in Sound with Nvrsoft on the Virtual Sessions 9/17/25
Wednesday Sep 17, 2025
Wednesday Sep 17, 2025
Summary
In this Virtual Sessions episode, host Darran Bruce welcomes Nvrsoft, also known as Kathy, to share her path from curious teenager to established artist in the drum and bass scene. She begins by reflecting on the origins of her stage name, rooted in gaming memories with her brother, and how those moments continue to influence her creative identity.
Kathy describes her music as deeply emotional, often carrying a “pretty sad” tone yet aimed at being universal. She feels a natural connection to liquid and jungle drum and bass while experimenting with halftime, trap, and experimental beats. For her, music is about making connections that transcend personal experience and resonate broadly with listeners.
The conversation highlights her collaborations with Souljunk, Sophia, and the YANA Music collective, while also spotlighting her leadership within D&B Girls. Kathy emphasizes building safe and supportive spaces, encouraging diversity, and mentoring the next wave of artists. These roles showcase her dedication to growing the culture beyond her own projects.
Away from music, Kathy shares how her academic studies in communications and her love of culinary arts shape her worldview. She discusses her admiration for thinkers like Joseph Campbell and creatives like Anthony Bourdain, who inspired her to view artistry as a shared human journey. Looking forward, she teases orchestral collaborations, new festival dates, and continued growth as both an artist and community builder.
