This two-part retrospective compiled by label head Colette features some of Moss' most memorable moments, with many tracks originally only available in limited quantities. These hand chosen tracks have all been remastered for today's modern fidelity.Part one of this series features an eclectic collection of sounds and moods. About Colette -
Always seeking to push boundaries and explore new territories, Chicago native DJ Colette, continues to discover ways to push her craft and career forward even after over two decades of leading the pack.A founding member of the pioneering DJ collective Superjane—along with DJ Heather, Lady D, and Dayhota—Colette has been an integral part of the Midwest underground since the birth of the 90s. Crafting events in Chicago—ones that would see most of Chicago’s second generation of house music artists and DJs graduate to global scales—her Material events at the storied club Shelter in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood were seminal in the development of the house sound of Chicago’s North Side, from the early 1990s on.Colette’s groundbreaking combination of incorporating her live vocals over into DJ sets became her signature and a definitive technique that’s won her fans from six continents. UStream and Livestream have also listed TDJS as a "Featured" stream in their lineups. The TDJS combined live streaming/podcast audience is over 90,000 viewers per week.

We have also undergone a massive upgrade in our TDJS studios and to our TDJS Mobile Studio to full HD streaming and HD audio to make the quality of the shows even better than before. Along with that we have launched a new website that now features our current live streams and past episodes in a much more user friendly mobile/social environment.

About DJ Shonuph -
In 1989 the Seattle music scene acquired the multi-talented triple threat known as Shomari Shanks. Shomari (aka DJ Sho Nuph), at the age of 15 quickly immersed himself in the local music community by connecting with the local hip-hop crew Tribal Music in the ’90’s. During this time he developed his craft of Rapping, Dancing, and creating new beats to share with the world. Shomari then jumped into the Jungle/ Drum & Bass Scene in the ’00’s and then became a mainstay at various spots around Seattle. Shomari’s passion for beat making and dancing is reflected in his ability to blend R&B, House, Funk, Spacious Trap, Soul, and his original tracks to keep all those bodies moving on the dance floor.
While honing his production skills in 2008 Shomari was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and courageously fought for his life while still following his passion and dreams to create music and art. In 2011 he joined forces with fellow music creator DJ WD4D to introduce Soulectro. Soulectro was created to push the boundaries of the Electronic Music Scene by introducing new and forward thinking mixes and original creations.
In 2016, Shomari received a new kidney and used his recovery time to create his EP HOWEVAYAWANT, which was released in July 2018 and available on Bandcamp.
After regaining his health and the release of HOWEVAYAWANT, Shomari teamed back up with WD4D and OC NOTES to continue to push the envelope in the music scene today by relaunching the progressive, soulful, electro vibe night.About WD4D -
WD4D aka Waylon Dungan is one of Seattle’s most talented and ambitious beat scientists whose bold style has injected new sonic fusions into the city’s hip hop and electronic music communities. Versatile and always fresh, WD4D’s sound ranges from left-field experimental beats and funky upbeat dance music to jazzed-up hip hop and soulful underground rap.
Producing and DJing for almost sixteen years, WD4D was recently dubbed “The Feel-Good DJ of the Decade” by Seattle’s The Stranger newspaper. This innovative producer’s dedication to his craft has resulted in an impressive discography; his debut album Some Assembly Required (2005) was followed by a slew of both signed and unsigned releases, including his latest EP Post-Hyphy-Romanticrunk (2010) that features a crew of female vocalists from the area.
A skilled turntablist who embraces both the digital and vinyl realms, WD4D takes unpredictable twists and blasts the hinges off genre definitions with his inventive and eclectic style. Not only a knowledgeable producer but an engaging performer as well, WD4D was named champion of Seattle’s 2010 Battle of the Mega-Mixes. Deeply involved in the local arts scene, WD4D has released music on Seattle-based label Fourthcity, and also scored the original music for the theatrical dance performance In Fere.
When he is not pushing forward his unique beat-flipping sound, WD4D is supporting the musical community and promoting other artists who blend futuristic hip hop with electronic possibilities. One of the founding DJs of KBCS 91.3’s Saturday night Zulu Radio, WD4D has co-hosted the popular radio program for five years. This busy producer is also a resident at the weekly future beat and breakers party Stop Biting, one of the most forward-thinking nights of music in the city.
With plenty of initiative and industry savvy to match his sharp production skills, WD4D is an unstoppable force that brings new music to light- and then sets it on fire. Look for more beat-heavy badness in the clubs, on the radio and in the studio from WD4D as he further develops his original sound and his presence on the international electronic stage continues to expand.
