Known as one of the finest late night/underground Dj's on the map, crushing it at Fabric London, La Terrazza Barcelona, Roxy Prague, Salon Daome Montreal, Harlot San Francisco, King King L.A, The Arches GLasgow, La Santanera PDC Mexico, Rioma Mexico City, Smartbar Chicago, Living Room Miami, among others, Pete has a reputation for giving his all at every gig and leaving people touched and inspired by his signature deep and eclectic sound.Candy Talk Records kicked off 2021 with its twenty-second release, featuring the first in a two part retrospective compilation "The Days", from label favorite, Philly's deep house aficionado, Pete Moss. This two-part retrospective compiled by label head Colette features some of Moss' most memorable moments, with many tracks originally only available in limited quantities. These hand chosen tracks have all been remastered for today's modern fidelity.Part one of this series features an eclectic collection of sounds and moods. From the dubbed out aesthetics of tracks like "So Sweet", "2012", and "All Ova the World", to the spaced out elemental disco-tinged "Turn U Back" and "Back in the Daze", this is just scraping the surface of this release's brilliance. Always seeking to push boundaries and explore new territories, Chicago native DJ Colette, continues to discover ways to push her craft and career forward even after over two decades of leading the pack.A founding member of the pioneering DJ collective Superjane—along with DJ Heather, Lady D, and Dayhota—Colette has been an integral part of the Midwest underground since the birth of the 90s. Crafting events in Chicago—ones that would see most of Chicago’s second generation of house music artists and DJs graduate to global scales—her Material events at the storied club Shelter in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood were seminal in the development of the house sound of Chicago’s North Side, from the early 1990s on.Colette’s groundbreaking combination of incorporating her live vocals over into DJ sets became her signature and a definitive technique that’s won her fans from six continents. Colette launched Candy Talk Records in June of 2010 as a platform for more creative control with her own music, their collaborations, and the choice and freedom to work with other record producers of whom she is a fan.Since then, Colette has personally released eight singles and two full-length efforts of her own work—2013’s crowd-funded When The Music’s Loud (named one of Vice’s 99 greatest dance albums of all time) and 2017’s Retrospective.Releasing remixed and original works from the likes of Gettoblaster, Sonny Fodera, Late Nite Alumni, Lawnchair Generals, Rubb Sound System, Scrubfish, WhiteNoize, Demarkus Lewis, Chuck Love, Golf Clap, Local Options, Change Request, and more she has created a home for other like-minded creators to have a platform for their work.With an ever-growing roster of musicians, producers, and DJs, 2019—thus far—has seen Candy Talk release East Coast production stalwart Pete Moss’ mixes of Colette’s “Dreams”, which peaked at #4 on the Traxsource Deep House Top 100.Establishing a remix series highlighting particular producers, Candy Talk has released two volumes in this series thus far with The Rubb Sound System Remixes (CTR015) and The Gettoblaster Remixes (CTR016), and The Demarkus Lewis Remixes (CTR018) featuring his reworks of "Call On Me", “Dreams”, and “We Feel So Hot” slated for the last quarter of 2019.Looking forward, the label anticipates celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2020 with a compilation centered around the best of the Candy Talk catalog—including some new tracks—(CTR019) in the first half of the new year.

About DJ Shonuph -
In 1989 the Seattle music scene acquired the multi-talented triple threat known as Shomari Shanks. Shomari (aka DJ Sho Nuph), at the age of 15 quickly immersed himself in the local music community by connecting with the local hip-hop crew Tribal Music in the ’90’s. During this time he developed his craft of Rapping, Dancing, and creating new beats to share with the world. Shomari then jumped into the Jungle/ Drum & Bass Scene in the ’00’s and then became a mainstay at various spots around Seattle. Shomari’s passion for beat making and dancing is reflected in his ability to blend R&B, House, Funk, Spacious Trap, Soul, and his original tracks to keep all those bodies moving on the dance floor.
While honing his production skills in 2008 Shomari was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and courageously fought for his life while still following his passion and dreams to create music and art. In 2011 he joined forces with fellow music creator DJ WD4D to introduce Soulectro. Soulectro was created to push the boundaries of the Electronic Music Scene by introducing new and forward thinking mixes and original creations.
In 2016, Shomari received a new kidney and used his recovery time to create his EP HOWEVAYAWANT, which was released in July 2018 and available on Bandcamp.
After regaining his health and the release of HOWEVAYAWANT, Shomari teamed back up with WD4D and OC NOTES to continue to push the envelope in the music scene today by relaunching the progressive, soulful, electro vibe night.About WD4D -
WD4D aka Waylon Dungan is one of Seattle’s most talented and ambitious beat scientists whose bold style has injected new sonic fusions into the city’s hip hop and electronic music communities. Versatile and always fresh, WD4D’s sound ranges from left-field experimental beats and funky upbeat dance music to jazzed-up hip hop and soulful underground rap.
Producing and DJing for almost sixteen years, WD4D was recently dubbed “The Feel-Good DJ of the Decade” by Seattle’s The Stranger newspaper. This innovative producer’s dedication to his craft has resulted in an impressive discography; his debut album Some Assembly Required (2005) was followed by a slew of both signed and unsigned releases, including his latest EP Post-Hyphy-Romanticrunk (2010) that features a crew of female vocalists from the area.
A skilled turntablist who embraces both the digital and vinyl realms, WD4D takes unpredictable twists and blasts the hinges off genre definitions with his inventive and eclectic style. Not only a knowledgeable producer but an engaging performer as well, WD4D was named champion of Seattle’s 2010 Battle of the Mega-Mixes. Deeply involved in the local arts scene, WD4D has released music on Seattle-based label Fourthcity, and also scored the original music for the theatrical dance performance In Fere.
When he is not pushing forward his unique beat-flipping sound, WD4D is supporting the musical community and promoting other artists who blend futuristic hip hop with electronic possibilities. One of the founding DJs of KBCS 91.3’s Saturday night Zulu Radio, WD4D has co-hosted the popular radio program for five years. This busy producer is also a resident at the weekly future beat and breakers party Stop Biting, one of the most forward-thinking nights of music in the city.
With plenty of initiative and industry savvy to match his sharp production skills, WD4D is an unstoppable force that brings new music to light- and then sets it on fire. Look for more beat-heavy badness in the clubs, on the radio and in the studio from WD4D as he further develops his original sound and his presence on the international electronic stage continues to expand.

Ahzee has redefined the EDM genre by bringing his unique style and sound to his music and mixes that is sure to get any crowd moving. His music is filled with many Mediterranean influences and his own South American culture.
Guyanese born but New York raised, he has set the bar on what it means to keep pushing for your dreams. He started simply playing at small bars and quickly moved past that stage to also doing music production. He ignored all those who said he couldn’t live his dream and taught himself how to produce, master and create his own sounds that today are played all over the world.
Ahzee, is well known for many of his songs that have topped the charts in various European countries and continues to be played around the world. Since the release of her 2012 self-titled debut, the Arizona-raised, Los Angeles-based artist has racked up tens of millions of followers worldwide and more than 3 billion total views on YouTube.
Stirling’s sophomore album Shatter Me was certified Gold by the RIAA, after debuting at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and holding the #1 spot on the Classical Albums Chart for 21 consecutive weeks.
Her third studio album Brave Enough, featuring guest appearances from Dan + Shay, Christina Perri, Rivers Cuomo, Andrew McMahon and others, earned Stirling her second Billboard Music Award for “Top Dance/Electronic Album.” Stirling’s latest release, her fifth album Artemis (released September 2019 via BMG), debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and remained on the chart for 15 combined weeks.
